API keys are stored as references, never as plaintext. The values live in Humanik Cloud's encrypted vault (AES-256-GCM) and are only decrypted at boot. Injected as scoped environment variables. Never written to disk, never logged, never visible to other offices.
LLM calls route through a localhost proxy that injects your key server-side. Bring your own keys through our BYOK system to control provider, cost, and data residency.
